I am the moodiest person in the world some mornings.
Literally all of us have our moments on work mornings where we are just feeling sorry for ourselves because we didn't win the lottery or discover the next best invention at the weekend, so on this occasion we can't quit our jobs.
I have been known to get Monday dread so bad that I have sobbed into my Sunday morning fry up in pure hatred for having to get up at 6am the next day and make my way to work.
Unfortunately unless you're a billionaire or a Kardashian, you can't just breeze through life getting paid £100K to post a selfie from your bed on Instagram or getting paid to go to the Maldives. There is still a 98% majority of us that are in this hideous boat together where we have to work really hard to live our lives.
Today's post is all about how we can better our moody mornings and actually get motivated to see out another day of not being a Kardashian or a billionaire. There are some really simple ways that you can help yourself feel better and I am here to share my top tips that really save me when I am all about resting bitch face and preferring to speak to noone for the entire day.

Let's face it, food heals everything, so making sure you have 3 healthy & filling meals planned for your day. There is nothing worse than having a shit day and going hungry too, all because you haven't prepared for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It's no secret to any of us that eating is a mood booster so make sure you are full of supplies to get through your day.

Nobody ever wants to work out, fact, and if you do then good for you, but I HATE IT.
However, it's no secret that exercise releases happy endorphins and even the lightest of exercise can really boost your mood on a miserable morning.
I find it really uplifting brisk walking the last 2 miles of my commute to work on a morning instead of getting my second bus. Of course, it's much easier now that the weather is better, but the point is 30 minutes of light exercise can really give your day a positive boost.

I just LOVE Spotify.
My playlists are like my babies and music is a massive game changer for me when it comes to my mood. There is nothing more important in my handbag on a work morning than my headphones! So download Spotify for a 30 day free trial, create yourself a playlist full of your favourite tunes. I PROMISE that you will feel 1000 times better afterwards.

I am not a good person without a good nights sleep.
It is extremely important for me to get 8 - 10 hours sleep a night for me to be mentally stable in the morning. There is nothing worse than a bad night's sleep before a day full of meetings and paperwork.
Make sure you have a nice hot bath, fresh bed sheets and an early night especially on a Sunday night, because I hate mondays with a passion without being tired too.

If you're having an especially devastating day and you just can't shake the mood - treat yourself. Nothing makes me happier when I am having a moody morning that turns into a bad day than shopping or a takeaway. Treat yourself to a junk tea of kebab or pizza or if you're watching your figure pop into Boots or Superdrug on the way home and buy yourself a lipstick or something you've been wanting for ages. Obviously I am not talking spending your savings on a huge splurge but just buying a new lip balm or having a treat feast from Dominos can really boost your mood.

All of these can achieve better morning moods accompanied by huge amounts of coffee of course! Leave me a comment below if you have any morning mantras that help you get through the hell of a work morning.

So if you haven't already noticed by my slight absence on my blog, social media and general social life it's because I have been trying to keep a HUGE secret and I need to avoid everyone because I just couldn't keep a secret if my life depended on it. So now that we're out of the zone of uncertainty and we've had the opportunity to see our beautiful little miracle bouncing around my belly I can shout it from the rooftops.

Everyone that knows me personally will know I have made no secret about the fact that we have been trying for a long time, 11 months to be exact. To some that may not seem long at all, but after falling pregnant with Harper in just 2 months, 11 months seemed like an eternity of never ending negative tests and heartache. I am the ultimate pessimist, it genuinely shocks me when things go right for me and when amazing things happen to us I never believe them to be true or I expect the worst to happen.
We have been tracking our ovulation chart like crazy people and almost obsessive for over 11 months but actively trying for 11. I just started to believe that Harper was the one wonderful, incredible miracle that I deserved and I started to accept that and almost embrace being able to dedicate my entire time and life to my amazing daughter, solely, but deep down there was the ache to give her the sibling I was so lucky to have growing up.
When I found out I was pregnant I was completely shocked, I couldn't believe it and up until my scan today I still didn't believe it so I have been spending a small fortune on tests for the weeks leading up to my scans because I just can't believe it, we're getting exactly what we've desperately wanted for almost a year.

Pregnancy has been different this time around, as those who know me will know I lost a huge amount of weight when pregnant with Harper due to having extreme morning sickness for around the first 5 months, it was horrendous I couldn't keep a single thing down and I slept around 18 hours a day at my worst points. This pregnancy has just been so incredibly easy so far *touch wood* I have had extreme nausea from 6 weeks - 10 weeks and although I have been occasionally sick the last couple of weeks generally it has been as if I am not pregnant, absolutely no symptoms at all most days.
Don't get me wrong, no pregnancy symptoms is the dream, it's certainly making it easier but I have had this pessimistic ache in my tummy accompanied by strong pains in my ovaries.

The increasing pain in my ovaries sent me straight up the hospital on Thursday night, I am a firm believer in 'better safe than sorry' and on occasions that notion potentially saved my sister's life a few years ago so I really stand by it.
We were looked after so well by the amazing team at the Norfolk & Norwich hospital and quickly I was attended to and after lots of examinations the doctor concluded that there was potential of an ectopic pregnancy. I was given an emergency internal scan to check my ovaries and the baby, 10 days before my dating scan which is on the 24th of this month.
My heart was absolutely pounding this morning as I lay watching the nurses face checking my ultrasound, trying to detect whether she was going to tell me there was a baby in my womb or not. After a few seconds she smiled widely and turned to show us our beautiful little miracle laying upside down in my womb with arms and legs waving about and a super strong heartbeat.

So there you have it, I am pregnant and as a family we couldn't be more excited, I am just wishing away the days when I can bring baby two home and watch my amazing little girl bond with her new sibling. I will be updating you guys on my blog, probably not every week, but certainly often on how everything is going and some more parenting content as I go on this amazing journey.
I hope you enjoyed this post and although it was a ramble it's a positive ramble instead of a raging rant.

I literally can't think of anything to write so today's post is a beauty product review.
I have just ran out of Revlon Colorstay, a foundation that I have been religiously using for 2 months straight and I thought I better let you know why and how this wonderful high street foundation has been my go to for the last few months.
As you may know if you have been reading my blog for a while, I hate the quality of drugstore foundations. I have just never found a high coverage, long lasting foundation that doesn't cake up, doesn't change colour when it dries or clogs my pores so bad that I get huge spots all over my face.
Today I am going to tell you how Revlon colorstay may have just become the game changer for drugstore foundations.

I had heard a lot of things about Revlon Colorstay in the past and about 8 months ago I tried it out for the first time on a whim of having a bit of change in my purse and curiosity of the product, on this occasion I was not a fan.
Not only had I purchased the wrong colour by miles, it was a different formula all together. I had purchased the original Revlon Colorstay for normal to dry skin and my skin had never reacted so unfortunately to a foundation before. It clumped, it dried like clumps of a harsh translucent powder and of course it was the wrong colour.
Of course I was extremely disappointed and confused as to why so many bloggers and beauty boffs had dubbed this foundation "incredible" or 5 star. I ended up giving it to a friend and avoiding the Revlon counter for a long time after...

Then in February this year Boots had an outstanding offer, Revlon Colorstay was half price so instead of £12.99 it was retailing at £6.99, and at this point I had continued to see beauty bloggers rave about this foundation. I had to give it another go so I did my research and quickly realised there were two types of this foundation - normal to dry skin and combination to oily skin. I have combination skin almost oily and realised quickly this was where I had gone wrong on my original purchase. I also took a lot of time choosing the colour and making sure it was the right one.

2 months on and I honestly can't believe the difference in this foundation compared to my original purchase, it is the perfect formula and coverage for my skin. I use this foundation every single day and being a busy working mum I need makeup that has ultimate staying power to hold my look through long days at work and beyond.

To apply I use probably 3 pumps for my favourite full coverage and most days buff it in with Real Techniques Expert Face Brush, Boots £9.99  however I really recommend for a perfect full coverage Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge, Boots £5.99. I don't ever need to conceal with this foundation on a day to day basis because the coverage is THAT good, however I do conceal on nights out just for that extra coverage, the foundation blends so well with concealer too. I don't prep my skin with my Nivea For Men either, just a simple morning moisturiser will suffice. The coverage spreads easily and evenly, leaving you with a flawless finish that doesn't oxidise, dry out or cake.

The REAL super power is the way it stays ALL DAY, not only myself but my friends and family have been commenting on how well the foundation lasts. I have extremely oily t zones and I find that foundations slide off my nose especially as a glasses wearer this can be a common issue. This foundation doesn't slide at all, I have been trying to find a foundation that can achieve this for so long and I can assure you it really does have a 24 hour stay.
I have taken a selfie at 8pm at night with the same make up I applied at 6:30am, it's INCREDIBLE.

So yes, I do recommend this foundation 1000% and I especially recommend this to people with oily skin as you really will see the difference. Using the tools I have recommended for application is a must for the same flawless complexion I have been achieving since using this foundation. I will be using this foundation for a long time to come, I can't believe I have become a drugstore foundation convert, and it's all thanks to this wonderful product.

Please don't hesitate to leave me a comment below letting me know what YOU think of this foundation! Do you love it or do you hate it? Let me know!
