WHAT'S IN MY MAKEUP BAG?

Welcome back to my blog! Since I had Hudson in November, I have been really into my make up and getting excited about shiny new products on the market. I have been all about creating that flawless finish, and achieving that on the high street. Usually I am a high end, luxury make up gal and I really DID once fully stand by that high street just couldn't compete, until now, with the likes of Makeup Revolution and L'Oreal stepping up their high street game in the last two years. Of course, I still have lots of high end faves in my make up collection but most haven't made it into my everyday make up bag. So today's post is a look at what's inside my everyday make up bag, and some short reviews on each product that I have been using and loving.

REVLON COLORSTAY 24 HOUR WEAR FOUNDATION
 FOR COMBINATION/OILY SKIN
I have always and will always say that foundation is the most important part of creating a flawless makeup look and I strive to have a flawless base every time I wear makeup. I usually use high end foundations and I don't really have a set high end foundation that I use, but I do swear by this foundation on the high street. For me, there is nothing on the high street market with a better coverage and finish when applied with a beauty blender.

REVLON COLORSTAY CONCEALER IN LIGHT
I bought this concealer as an impulse when I bought the foundation because I had to spend £15 to get a free gift, does anyone else do that? haha. Anyway, I bought it and I use it with the foundation and it's good, it's not great but it does the job. I wouldn't recommend this over the collection lasting perfection concealer or the maybelline eraser eye concealer, those two are the best on the high street.

L'OREAL INFALLIBLE MATTIFYING BASE PRIMER
For ages, I believed that primer was a beauty myth, that I didn't need a primer to achieve flawless results and it was just a fad way to get people to spend more money. UM how wrong was I? I live for this primer. I have a super oily nose and forehead, I really struggle to get my makeup to not slide away from those areas after a few hours. However, since I discovered this primer those days are gone, I can now achieve a look that lasts all day. This primer is super mattifying and if you have oily skin like me you will find this a god send.

REVOLUTION ULTIMATE BLUSH & LIGHT & CONTOUR PALETTE
I got this for Christmas from my best friend, Sophie, who knows me so well and knows that I am all about that contour life. This palette has 32 staggeringly beautiful shades that will give you a contour and highlight that would make Kimmy K jealous.

Makeup Revolution Ultimate Blush, Light & Contour Kit, Tam Beauty £10.00

SLEEK SOLSTICE HIGHLIGHTING PALETTE
Whilst we're on the subject of highlighter, are you really a beauty blogger if you don't have the Sleek Solstice highlight palette though? I can't put this beautiful, golden, highlighter from heaven, down and I have hit the bottom of the pan on the shade 'Subsolar' because it's basically the best fucking highlight I have ever used. If you haven't got this, make it your next beauty purchase.

L'OREAL FALSE LASH X FIBRE MASCARA
Yes, I just jumped on that fibre lash hype and I am fully loving it. L'Oreal recently brought out their own false lash effect fibre mascara and I had to have it as soon as I set eyes on it. I am a bit of a mascara hoarder I have about 30 different mascaras, but this one is definitely in the top 3 that I have ever used. It's a duo wand, applying primer first and then the fibre, it's super lengthening and can really compete with false lashes.

L'OREAL SUPERSTAR SUPER LINER
I am shit at eyeliner, and I am not even ashamed to admit it. I got to the point where I just stopped using liquid eyeliner all together because I was just messing it up and ruining an entire look trying to sort it out. I recently picked up this liquid eyeliner pen and it has changed my relationship with winged liner. The precision of this pen is incomparable to anything I have ever used and I can't recommend it enough for any liner rookie like myself.

NYX LIP LINGERIE IN BEAUTY MARK
Unless you have been living under a rock for the whole of 2016, you will know who NYX are or you will own at least one of their liquid matte lip creams. Last summer they bought out their 'Lip Lingerie' line which is basically a collection of super sexy nude lip creams that are out of this fucking world. I am obsessed with not only every single colour but the formula is next level. Super long lasting, super matte and super pigmented which is just everything I am looking for in a matte lip cream, cannot recommend enough.

ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS DIPBROW POMADE
Another hugely hyped product is the ABH Dipbrow promade and quite rightly so. I have used the brow definer and brow wiz, but neither come close to the dipbrow. I'm awful at my brows and I am literally practising every single day. I just really appreciate the control you have over the shading with the pomade compared to the brow definer. Again, I totally recommend.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade, Beauty Bay £15.00

THE ORIGINAL BEAUTY BLENDER
I also recently bought the original beauty blender to compare it to my 3 times cheaper Real Techniques miracle complexion sponges that I literally swear by. The original beauty blender is amazing but it's not better or worse than the Real Techniques sponge so for me, I won't be repurchasing this because it does the same job as my 3 times cheaper sponges.

MORPHE 35OM PALETTE
Me and my sister bought each other this palette for Christmas and I am fully in love with it. I saw it for the first time on Nikkie Tutorials channel and I just bloody love warm brown and neutral shades so this palette was made for me. As everybody knows Morphe eyeshadows are super pigmented and super blendable so I am very happy with it and can't wait to buy another one.

That's all for my huge 'What's In My Makeup Bag' post, I hope you have enjoyed it and pulled some inspiration from it. What's your favourite product in your makeup collection right now? Let me know in the comments below.
