Happy New Year! If you're anything like me you've got the cliche resolutions ready, and you're more than determined than eve, and since it is 2018, conveniently. app assistance is a great way to achieve your goals. From drinking more water to becoming more financially stable - there's an app for that.
Today's post is all about my top eight apps that will help you achieve your hopes and dreams for 2018, or just get you to drink more water, either way, positive steps.

After I gave birth to Harper, almost 5 years ago now, I have suffered with anxiety. It can be triggered by so many different things & sometimes the things that could cause my anxiety one day could be the complete opposite to the triggers on the next. It held me back for a long time and although, I am a million miles from where I was four years ago, I would say anxiety is something I deal with almost every other day. I have downloaded this meditation app called Head Space after reading the rave reviews on App Store. The initial meditation and mindfulness 'basics' are free to use, however if you find them useful you can pay for a subscription that allows you access to hundreds of different meditations from anxiety to focusing to sleep therapy.

I suck at staying hydrated and I am hoping this app will change that. My water balance calculates your recommended water intake based on personal assessment and includes water, tea, coffee and many more. The app gives you fun awards when you achieve milestones and new achievements. It also sends notifications to your phone to remind you to drink. You can connect the app with apple health too, so you can use it along with your everyday apple health tracking.

I am absolutely awful at saving money, in fact, I don't save and my mum nags me about it all the time - 'Rebekka, you need to be saving money for a rainy day or emergencies!'. But of course every time I try to save there's always something or some sale on somewhere, so no rainy day savings for me.
I've downloaded this app in hope it will help me in the most subtle way ever and by the end of 2018 I might have a little nest egg tucked away.
Moneybox rounds up your everyday purchases to the next pound, so if you buy a coffee for £3.50, it will round the purchase up to £4 and save the 50 pence. Another feature money box has is the ability to invest your everyday savings into stocks and shares which could see your saving double and even triple in front of your eyes. Investing, can offer higher returns than current or savings accounts over the long term. Moneybox has combined their app with investing experts to ensure your money is looked after and allows investment beginners to have a better understanding of projected risk and returns.

Sleep is SO important and something we all probably take for granted more than we should. 88% of us will suffer with some kind of sleeping problems at least once in our lifetime. Sleep deprivation can cause so many issues physically and is connected to a lot of mental health illnesses.
Sleep Cycle is an app that analyses your sleep and wake you in the lightest sleep phase. The built in microphone on your smartphone is used to analyse movement and the app ignores sounds like fans or snoring. It requires you to keep your device face down on a bed side surface to allow the app to work it's magic and analyse your sleep. You can also tap the surface next to your smartphone twice to activate snooze mode when the subtle alarm goes off instead of having to open up your phone to select snooze mode.

One of my biggest goals for 2018 is to get my credit score looking healthier. I have been using clear score on desktop for about a year now and unlike a lot of other credit management services, Clear Score is absolutely free. The best thing about Clear Score is that you can set yourself targets to work towards and the service gives you free advice for credit building success.

I hope you have enjoyed this post and I hope you all have a successful, productive, happy and healthy 2018. Feel free to share with me your favourite apps in the comments below, I am always on the look out for new ways to be productive etc.

  1. I'm definitely going to look into getting a drink tracker -I'm so bad at drinking water! I love the Headspace app too, it's been great for those stressful times.
